Soft Phones
A softphone is actually a software application used for making calls over the Internet,
rather than using dedicated hardware. Designed to behave like a traditional telephone,
softphones appear on your computer monitor as an image of a phone, with interactive
display panels and buttons. You connect using a headset, or using a hands-free speakerphone
device like the Polycom Communicator.
